“I graduated in 1996 as a veterinarian in Brazil and spent over 17 years working closely with specialty cases—behavioral issues, chronic conditions, and complex animal care. In total, I have over 30 years of experience with animals.
After moving to the U.S., I worked for over 8 years as a veterinary technician. I saw how many pet owners lacked guidance, how animal hospitals often focused on treatment over prevention, and how cost often led to heartbreaking decisions like euthanasia.
That’s why I founded LuAngel: to offer a different path—one focused on education, preventive care, and compassionate support.”

Absolutely the Best Groomer! Lu is simply amazing! One of my dogs has always been very anxious and wouldn’t let anyone touch him, but he absolutely adores her. The way she handled him with such patience, kindness, and care was incredible to watch. Now, not only does he trust her, but he actually gets excited to see her!
I have boarded my dog with Luciana several times and she has provided excellent care each time. She provides exceptional service and her home has a wonderful backyard for my dog to roam around in. She is a great communicator and has provided photos and updates while I was away. I highly recommend her services!
I am so happy I contacted Luci for assessment of my senior cat, Maibby. Mai-Mai (as we affectionately call her) is 18 years old and has problematic mats because of a skin condition. Our vet told us to look for a specialist groomer…and boy did we find her! Luci came to our home and scooped up our Mai-Mai with such care that my cat seemed at ease with her instantly. She finished Mai-Mai’s grooming in 20 minutes! Luci explained that grooming needs to be done very quickly with senior cats to eliminate as much stress as possible. Now our Maibby is living her best life—-rolling on the floor in joy and scratching her itches in places she hasn’t been able to reach for awhile!: 😉 I give Luci and her organization LuAngels a 10/10. Luciana is the absolute BEST. We have two pups, one of which has extremely challenging extra care needs due to an autoimmune spinal condition that has resulted in almost total paralysis to his hind legs. He requires manual bladder expressions (not easy getting an 80lb dog to ‘posture to pee’ then actually successfully expressing said bladder), frequent body shifting, offering water and general ongoing hands on care/attention. Luciana has always been highly attentive to his needs, and made the bladder expression look like a walk in the park. She’s also watched our able bodied dog at the same time so the pups didn’t need to be separated while we were out of town. 12/10 couldn’t recommend more highly.
My experience with Lucy is the greatest I've ever had with any veterinarian, groomer, pet specialist & pet handler. She can figure out my cat" Figaro" better than myself and the ASPCA I adopted him from. She is surely a blessing. My cat has his mental issues, and was previously abused and traumatized somewhere down the line before I added him in our home, in the summer of 2023 when he was 10 months old. Figaro is my sons emotional service animal. He helps him calm down and relax when I go to work. And Lucy helps tremendously when he needs a service, gives great advice for his special needs before I book an appt. She'll suggest some key advice & tips how to guide him in the carrier which helps alot. I recommend her to anyone that has a pet she is a great doctor & psychic with my baby Figaro. I give her 10 stars she deserves it.
I’m very grateful for Luciana’s help during a very difficult time with my cat. Even though she couldn’t act as a veterinarian in this situation, she guided me through everything. She recommended what clinic to go, explained what questions I should ask the vets, what exams to request, and gave me all the support I needed while my cat was hospitalized. My cat is now back home and doing much better. I truly appreciate her care, attention, and support. I trust her so much that now I’ll be booking grooming services for my cat with her. Highly recommend!
Luciana is friendly and her love for animals is clear. She has groomed our 14 year old male cat for a year. She is gentle with him and does a great job. Her attention to detail is appreciated as she has alerted us of fleas and a urinary tract issue. It was lovely to meet Luciana. It gave me comfort hearing how much passion she has in special needs care and support for pets. It made it an easy choice to choose her to board my pups Amadeus and Cali. Amadeus was diagnosed with cancer in his spine earlier this year causing paralysis in his hind legs. I had an event I needed to attend our of town, and luckily Luciana was able to accommodate both my pups. It gave me peace of mind knowing that she also has 27+ years of veterinary experience as well in case an emergency. The pups were able to settle in at her home just fine. I booked Luciana for a groom for my 13 year old named Micky and her care for dog was beyond exceptional. My dog micky being a senior dog has trouble standing for a long time which is why most groomers did not want to groom him but Luciana accommodated him and get him all clean will be using her mobile service in the future going forward!
I need to talk about Luciana's services, I took my dog to the bath, and to my surprise when I went to pick him up, she taught me a class about my dog, analyzed his skin and said she was Irritation, in addition to having cut his nails and looked at his teeth. I had taken it somewhere else and they told me they couldn't cut their nails or clean their teeth because he wouldn't let me. And with Luciana she did all this and my dog felt her energy.
I have a Maltese with grooming trauma so it’s almost impossible finding someone who can get the job done without further damage. We’ve been through 11 different groomers when I found Luciana. She pulled up in the grooming van and our dog was already growling. I put the leash on him and she took him to the van. I couldn’t believe how great she handled him and got the job done in record time. I was impressed that she trimmed and bathed him while playing with him to lighten his fear. Her energy and ability to connect with our pet isnt common due to his aggression due grooming. I felt that she cares about animals and making them comfortable with the whole process. I’m not going to anyone else if I can help it. Thank you Luciana.
